Mela

We are living in an age of information overload. Right now, there is no way to sift through the cast ocean of content to find relevant, significant, and emotionally impactful content. Additionally, the current platforms we have for consuming content fail to deliver the essence of the content, and merely drown out the interesting and important moments in additional noise. Mela helps users both share and discover the most focussed and relevant moments from around the world, and then combines those moments together to provide additional value and meaning to the individual clips. Mela is an iPhone application that lets users upload 2.5 second clips and tag them with up to three keywords. Mela than combines these clips into compilation videos, made up of the clips of all Mela users. Each Mela compilation can be based on one or more hashtags or keywords. This means that any individual clip can be a part of multiple Mela videos.
